Short Bio

Amy B. Mucha grew up in New York and New Jersey and now lives in Hanover, New Hampshire, with her husband, two kids, six pets, and hundreds of books. When she isn’t writing or reading, she can be found daydreaming, sipping tea, and eating chocolate medicinally.

Long Bio

Amy Burnham Mucha spent much of her childhood exploring the woods around her childhood homes in New York and New Jersey. She has been spinning stories since the age of five and doesn’t plan to stop anytime soon. Amy’s love of books led her to Kenyon College, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in English Literature. Though she does not own a time machine, she once spent a summer as a Victorian candlestick maker.

After spending twenty of her adult years in the South, Amy finally found a town full of book-lovers where the weather is always perfect for a cup of hot tea. She is now firmly and happily ensconced in Hanover, NH, with her husband, two teenagers, and houseful of pets, and spends her days eating chocolate, daydreaming, and making up stories about power and magic. If you pass her in a cafe, you just might end up in one of them.

Amy is passionate about empowering girls and women everywhere to love themselves, embrace and support all the girls in their lives, and speak loud for what’s right.
